I'm a big fan of Johnny Cash and of the children's author Shel Silverstein. One day I found out that Shel wrote Johnny's classic (and hilarious) country song
"A boy named Sue" - and my whole life started making a little more sense.
I hope you'll take time to get to know this book. It's a great journey for young readers, and grown ups seem to love it too. I've read this book in schools all over the place and 2nd and 3rd graders especially seem to connect with it.
